Oinkment® is a non-antibiotic topical wound protectant formulated for swine. Applied directly to cuts, abrasions, processing wounds and shoulder lesions, Oinkment provides antimicrobial activity at the wound surface and quickly dries to form a flexible protective film.
This protective barrier helps shield the wound from environmental contamination while maintaining a protected environment for the natural healing process.

How Oinkment Works
Oinkment® combines antimicrobial activity with a quick-drying, flexible film to provide two levels of wound protection.

Antimicrobial Action
Immediately after application, Oinkment provides antimicrobial activity at the wound surface, helping control bacterial and fungal contamination.

Flexible Protective Barrier
As Oinkment dries, it forms a flexible film over the affected area. This barrier helps protect the wound from continued exposure to environmental contaminants.

Proven Under Commercial Conditions
Oinkment® has been evaluated under commercial swine production conditions to determine the value of adding topical wound protection to existing management protocols. On-farm evaluations examine wound condition during the critical early period following injury or processing, when protection from environmental contamination is especially important.

In an on-farm evaluation, Oinkment® was applied daily to visible shoulder lesions, with lesion size and severity tracked over 14 days.

Oinkment® provides practical topical protection for common wounds and skin injuries encountered in swine production.

- Tail injuries and wounds associated with tail biting
- Other superficial wounds where protection from environmental contamination is needed
Directions For Use
For best results, clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin for good adhesion. Apply Oinkment with spray tip 6 inches from wound, spraying to completely cover the wound and overlap onto surrounding healthy skin.
Reapply every other day or as required to keep the wound sealed until satisfactory results are achieved.
