Animal Science Products Announces the Addition of Yale Lary as Animal Food & Consumer Safety Scientist
Animal Science Products, Inc. is excited to announce the appointment of Yale Lary as its Animal Food & Consumer Safety Scientist. Yale brings a wealth of hands-on and leadership experience across a wide array of supply chains, food types, and manufacturing processes, with a particular focus on food safety, quality assurance, and animal welfare.
Yale has held various senior roles in food safety and quality management within major corporations and midsized companies, giving him extensive expertise in ready-to-eat food processing, sanitation, processing aid interventions, environmental monitoring, and food microbiology challenge studies. His work spans across USDA and FDA HACCP, regulatory compliance, as well as livestock production and harvesting. His diverse background ensures that he is well-equipped to address the complexities of both animal food safety and consumer protection.
Throughout his career, Yale has maintained active involvement with leading organizations such as the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) and the Food Research Institute (FRI). He served as past chairman of IAFP’s Food Hygiene and Sanitation Professional Development Group, and he holds certifications as an ASQ Quality Engineer, a Professional Animal Auditor, and a Safe Quality Foods Auditor. Yale has also served on various food safety committees and co-authored several peer-reviewed studies published in scientific journals and industry magazines.
Yale earned his graduate degrees in Animal Science and Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. His M.Sci. research in food safety was funded by the USDA/FSIS, and his M.A. research was conducted in partnership with the Agricultural Food Policy Center.
