During this past quarter, members of the Animal Science Products team and I made several trips abroad to visit with both partners and customers of ASP. I personally spent some time with our international distributors in China and noticed a reccurring theme that is emerging around the world – the increased focus on food safety.
As the global demand for food products grows, especially poultry, developing better ways to protect the food supplies from infection and disease become even more crucial. Improving vaccination practices among poultry producers is one clear way to ensure safe food supplies needed to meet the global demand and still be cost effective. Through the advancements we have made with the ASP Family of Vaccine Stabilizers – Vac-Pac Plus International, Spray-Vac, and Opti-Vac – we have helped producers throughout the world grow healthier flocks, and therefore safer food products. It is estimated that in 2011 alone, ASP products will have helped ensure proper vaccination of over 14 billion birds, representing nearly 30% of the world’s broiler population.
It is results like these that make us so proud to be a pioneer in the evolution of animal health and nutritional products. Our scientific advancements in animal vaccine protection are helping poultry producers experience:
- Increased livability
- Improved production
- Reduced costs per head
- Better food safety
ASP maintains its commitment to developing better, more cost-effective ways to protect poultry, as well as other species of food animals, from disease and other damaging factors that threaten the safety and integrity of the world’s food sources.
Sincerely,
Bailey Reynolds
