Inbound Assays and Quarantine

ASP follows the strictest inbound assay standards in the industry.  We quarantine inbound vitamins and sample every lot of every vitamin or bulk trace mineral shipment bound for premix production.  The samples are tested by pre-approved third-party labs which we screen for the ability to perform accurate assays for the nutrients in question.  Results of the tests must show the ingredient’s purity meets or exceeds the stringent standards set by the USP.  Vitamins not meeting this standard are not permitted to be formulated or enter into our premix production plant without corrective action.  Historical inbound assay results are available for review in the following charts:

Nutrient Overages

Because our ingredients come from the world’s top-quality suppliers, they are often produced with slight potency overages.  Assays reveal when their nutrient concentrations exceed their label potencies.  Our formulation policy is to pass overages through to our customers in their premixes, when they exist.  These overages are not declared in the premix label guarantees, but they add a valuable margin of safety for the end-user.
