Mixer Uniformity
Product consistency is ranked as one of the most critical characteristics by premix customers. Because micro ingredient premixes are added to feeds in such small amounts, it is imperative that each premix be as uniformly accurate as possible. Although FDA requires annual mixer checks, ASP tests mixer uniformity quarterly. We take action to adjust mixing times or initiate maintenance when the coefficient of variation exceeds 0.08 (less than 92% homogenous). This ensures our mixers blend more uniformly than the industry accepted standard C.V. of 0.10. Current Mixer profiles and C.V. are available for review in the following charts:
